At 9am on a Saturday morning, you’ll find me Eating a hearty breakfast at one of the bakeries around the station before I hit the shops in central Sannomiya!
My ideal day trip from Kobe is The traditional and serene city of Kyoto. A day spent strolling through sublime gardens and UNESCO World Heritage-listed temples always leaves me ‘zenned’!
When you’re in Kobe, don’t miss a Saturday strolling around the Harborland complex. Shopping or people-watching, it’s a nice part of the city.
I’ll bet you didn’t know I spent 4 months learning Italian in Bologna, Italy.
Kobe’s best kept secret are the great little wine bars in the former foreign settlement area.
My Japanese learning tip is Use your surroundings! Kobe city becomes your
classroom after school- read signs, order food in a restaurant, go grocery
shopping! There are opportunities to learn and practice the language
everywhere you turn.
