From left, Sandra san from Switzerland, Maria san from Spain, and Bethany san and Sarah san from Australia.

Sandra san takes Japanese lessons once a week in Switzerland, and this is her first time to visit Japan. We will have a long weekend this week, so she is planning to go to Hiroshima! It will be a lovely stay in Japan!

Maria san is acutally studying the Korean language at Lexis Korea. This is her second time to study at Lexis Korea as she studied there last year as well. It is a little bit challenging for her to learn 2 languages at the same time, but her language skills will be useful when she starts to work after graduation from the university in Spain!

Bethany san and Sarah san are actually from the same school in Noosa Australia, which is called St. Andrew’s Anglican College. After learning  Japanese for 2 weeks at Lexis Japan, they are going to the Kindai high school with using the scholarships. They know some Kanji as they studied the Chinese language at St. Andrew’s Anglican College, so it will help them to improve thier Japanese skills as well.  Let’s hope they study Japanese as much as they can till they go to the Kindai high school!

There are attractive after-class activities this week to get to know Japanese culture or to practice your Japanese such as the Tea ceremony class or the Lexis Japan Meet Up event. Also, we will have Kikoh sensei’s Calligraphy class next week. Please attend these activities and try to experience all sorts of Japanese culture!
