Sake Brewery Tour! 酒蔵見学ツアー

Last week, we joined the Sake Brewery Tour for the after class activity! This time, we visited “Hamafukutsuru” sake brewery in Kobe.

Lexis Japan 8

First, we learned how sake is made, and afterwards we had a tasting. As we tasted several varieties of sake, the guide at the “Hamafukutsuru” explained to us about each one. The students seemed curious about the differences, and they were also surprised that there were so many different flavours.

Kobe has been famous for its sake brewing from the Edo period, and has a lot of sake museums. In fact, most of the tours are free! If you have a chance to come to Kobe, we recommend you to visit these breweries.

Last Friday was graduation for two students. We had to say farewell to Emanuele san and Nino san from Switzerland. Emanuele san and Nino san always came to school with a great smile. We will definitely miss their smiles! When they go back to their country, we hope they will share their experience at Lexis Japan and Kobe with their families and friends!
